You don't have to lose any of your cool points by pairing your day dresses with boots, sandals, or heels!
Dressed Up for The Occasion.
Wear a dress day is commemorated every year on June 1 to allow ladies to wear their favourite dress. Gowns of any form, size, design, or pattern are acceptable as long as you love wearing them. You might be asking yourself, "Why on earth would we hold a day completely dedicated to dresses?" A dress on the other hand is quite simple and extremely comfortable to put on, especially in hot summer weather, when you begin to perspire as soon as the air conditioning is turned off. As a result, now is the perfect time to abandon your jeans for a sexy dress that will make you look absolutely stunning.
There Is A Long History Of "Wear A Dress Day."
There are a lot of interesting holidays observed around the United States but Wear a Dress Day stands out as a particularly fun one. Dressing up and having fun is the theme of the day at this annual event for women (or anyone who wants to wear a dress). It is unclear where this holiday originated, but we do know that it was first observed in 2010 and that the hashtag #WearADressDay was used by many women to post pictures of themselves wearing dresses on social media.
It raises the question of why day dresses are so important to women. Due to the fact that dresses have evolved over time, not all of them have been the most comfortable. From the 16th century through the 19th century, dresses were regularly worn with uncomfortable corsets that made it impossible for women to even breathe. Even though the dresses were lovely, wearing them was a chore due to the several layers of heavy fabrics that were used to make them. Ladies had a hard time moving about in 1775 as the clothes grew larger and more complex.

Until the 1860s, dress fabrics were much simpler and easier to wear, and until the 1900s, dress sizes began to drop dramatically. At this point, hemlines were getting shorter, and dresses were becoming more comfortable to wear. A new generation of women have the freedom to express themselves through their clothing choices without having to worry about traditional social norms — and this is why we're celebrating Wear a Dress Day!
